Roxy Roth House, 1946

Rudolph Schindler, Architect

Honored with the only solo exhibition of an architect's work at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, Schindler is internationally recognized as one of the most important Southern California architects of the 20th Century. The extensively published Roth House overlooking Studio City is an icon of his groundbreaking concept of space itself as the primary element of architecture. A sensitive restoration maintained architectural integrity. Surrounded by panoramic vistas across the Valley to the San Gabriel Mountains, the residence provides 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, original built-ins, laundry, ample grounds with outdoor fire pit and seating area overlooking the house, gardens and views. Attached writer's studio recently completed by Barbara Bestor Architecture.
