The Josephine Clark Residence, 1912

Poor and Wing with Frederick C. Coryell

Poor and Wing was a prolific real estate company which developed much of Highland Park along with notable developers such as Ralph Rogers, William B. Judson, Sarah Judson and G. W. E Griffith. In a 1908 issue of the Highland Park News-Herald & Journal, Poor and Wing was referred to as the “pioneer real estate firm of Highland Park. ” Located in the Hampton Terrace subdivision of the Highland Park HPOZ, the historic Craftsman (contributing HPOZ structure) is sited high above the street on a 12,000 square foot corner lot for maximum southwest facing views. The property retains many of its original details such as numerous built-ins, wood wainscoting, river rock fireplace in the living room and hardwood floors. 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, sunroom, recently renovated kitchen with stainless steel appliances & separate pantry, breakfast area, detached 2 car garage, & gardens with fruit trees round out the residence.
