The Los Feliz Towers, 1966

Daniel, Mann, Johnson and Mendelhall, Architects

Completed in 1966 and designed by Daniel, Mann, Johnson and Mendelhall, the Los Feliz Towers is the quintessential Los Angeles mid-century modern high-rise. This first floor unit in the West Tower was recently renovated by designer and writer, Anthony Iannacci (Hollywood Interiors, Design in the Hamptons, and New York Design at Home), and interior designer Mike Powers. One of the few units with a private garden patio, floor-to-ceiling original windows look out to greenery from the main living spaces. An all-Viking appliance kitchen, stone countertops and natural wood cabinetry throughout the unit round out the minimalist design. Building amenities include a resort-sized pool and sun deck, fitness center, laundry room, parking for residents and guests, lobby and 24 hour security. The Los Feliz Towers is not only ideal for walking to the shops and restaurants of the “Village,” but is also adjacent to the hiking trails of Griffith Park.
